DESCRIPTION:The VUB International Relations office invites you to celebrate
  the 1st Latin America Day.\nThe event will take place on Thursday 11 Octo
 ber 2018 on the Brussels Humanities\, Sciences &amp\; Engineering campus.\
 n\nThe whole VUB community along with partners from other universities\, e
 mbassies\, consulates and development cooperation organizations are warmly
  invited to join.\n\nFrom 12 to 4pm\, a fair and cultural activities will 
 take place in partnership with more than 20 institutions and organizations
  (embassies\, Casa de América Latina\, Instituto Cervantes\, VUB departme
 nts\, etc.). Anyone interested to know more about what the Latin American 
 continent has to offer\, with its different touristic\, cultural\, gastron
 omic and of course academic opportunities are more than welcome to come al
 ong and explore.\n\nAt 4pm\, VUB Rector Prof. Dr. Caroline Pauwels will op
 en the academic session\, “Building bridges between Latin America and Eu
 rope through education and scientific cooperation”\, together with some 
 Ambassadors from Latin American countries. VUB academics\, embassy represe
 ntatives and organizations\, will illustrate the debate with examples of c
 ooperation and related discussions.\n\nAt 5.30pm\, a tango demonstration w
 ill open the networking event\, with Latin music and food for everyone to 
 enjoy.\n\nPlease note that during that week the consortium of the Erasmus 
 + Capacity Building project RIESAL will meet at the VUB and will actively 
 participate in the event! (universities and university networks from Mexic
 o\, Uruguay\, Brazil\, Colombia\, Cuba\, Germany\, Italy\, Spain and Belgi
 um). A more detailed programme will follow in due course. We encourage you
